The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi and a delegation led by him, who have been on a business trip to some regions of the country for the last few days, reached Gabilay region today.
The purpose of this fact-finding supervision was to observe the smooth functioning of the country’s health work and how the authorities could see the existing needs.
The Minister was accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Mohamed Abdi Xergeye, some of the directors of various departments of the Ministry and advisers.
First of all, when the minister’s delegation arrived in Gabilay region, they started their inspection at Kalabaydh district hospital in Gabilay region, by inspecting the various parts of the hospital and holding various meetings with the management and staff of the hospital.
After that, the delegation continued their journey and arrived at the general hospital in Gabilay district, meeting with the hospital management and staff to find out about the extensive work that is going on at the general hospital in Gabilay district. the different parts of the hospital and the different services that are going on, seeing with their own eyes, the extensive work that is going on in the hospital.
Finally, the elegation went to Arabiyo district in Gabilay region, reaching Arabiyo district hospital, where the delegation first had a meeting with the hospital staff and the administration, and listened to a general report about the smooth operation of the hospital and what needs to be done urgently.
After that, the delegation went and inspected the different parts of the hospital in the district of Arabiyo, the work in progress and the patients being served.
They went to the mental hospital in Gabilay district, where they also met the management of the mental hospital and the staff who inspected the patients being treated there.
