The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, and a delegation he led visited Burco city, the capital of Togdheer region.
The purpose of the minister’s trip was to conduct a general inspection and assessment of the state of health services in the region. The minister and his delegation specifically visited Burco General Hospital, Alkhalifa Hospital, and Farah Omaar Mother and Child Center, where they closely observed the progress of health activities in these facilities.
The minister was accompanied by the Director of the Department of Child Health and Vaccination, and the Health Coordinator of Togdheer Region. During the inspection, the delegation held separate meetings with the administration and staff of the health centers they visited, where they were informed about the needs and developments in these areas.
The Minister encouraged the staff to redouble their efforts, noting that the Ministry is committed to developing and improving health services in the country, so that the community can receive efficient health services that are in line with the real needs of the people.
