The Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, in collaboration with UNICEF, organized a key working meeting to discuss the development of the National Immunization Program Strategy.
The objective of this meeting was to develop a strategic plan to guide and regulate the country’s immunization services over the next five years, to ensure that the Somaliland community receives high-quality, consistent immunization services that are in line with international standards.
The meeting was attended by Directors of various Departments of the Ministry of Health Development, Heads of the Ministry’s Immunization Program, officials from the regions of the country, representatives of organizations working with the Ministry as well as private hospitals that have recently started providing immunization services.
This meeting is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve the planning and coordination of community health services, to ensure that citizens of Somaliland receive high-quality immunization services.
