The Minister of Health Development of the Somaliland Republic, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, accompanied by the Minister of the Presidency, Mr. Khadar Hussein Abdi, paid a working visit to Hargeisa General Hospital, where they observed the general condition and health services provided by the hospital.
The officials of Hargeisa General Hospital warmly welcomed the ministerial delegation, and they were received there by the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Ahmed-weli Daahir Haddi, the Deputy Director of the Hospital, Dr. Abdirahman Cayngal, and the Director of the Health Services and Hospitals Department of the Ministry of Health Development.
The purpose of this visit was to assess and monitor the level of health services provided by the hospital, to determine the progress made and the remaining needs.During the visit, the ministers visited the various departments of the hospital, closely observing the important functions that the hospital has for the community and the nation.The hospital authorities provided the ministers with a detailed report on the progress made, services provided, and ongoing efforts to improve the quality of health services.
For their part, the Ministers of Health and the Presidency commended the hospital management and staff for their valuable work for the community, noting that the government is committed to strengthening and developing health services in the country.Finally, the ministers pledged to further double the government’s support to the Hargeisa General Hospital, to ensure high-quality health services that reach the entire community.
