The National Immunization Service Delivery Program Review Conference organized by the Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland opened today in Berbera, specifically at the Mansoor Hotel, where the meeting will last for three days.
This annual meeting was officially opened by the Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, and was attended
by the Deputy Governor of Sahil Region,
officials from the Department of Child Health and Immunization Services, health coordinators in the regions of the country, heads of immunization at regional and district levels,
organizations including UNICEF, WHO, and Save the Children, which support the ministry in the immunization program.
The Director General underlined that the Ministry is committed to preventing infectious diseases, especially vaccine-preventable diseases, which still pose a threat to the community, especially children.
He added that strengthening immunization services, improving the quality of data, and extending services to remote areas are the top priorities of the Ministry.This conference is part of the ongoing efforts to ensure public health security and improve the National Immunization Program.
