
The Director General of the Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, today officially inaugurated the Bali Ahmed Maternal and Child Health Center, which is located in the Sabawanaag District of the Maroodi-jeex Region.

This health center, which is of great importance to the local community, was built, equipped and operated by a collaboration of philanthropists and the Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, with the aim of improving the quality and availability of maternal and child health services.

A grand opening ceremony for the center was attended by MPs, the Maroodi-jeex Regional Health Coordinator, traditional elders, Awdiin scholars, health workers and other distinguished guests.

The officials who spoke at the event spoke in depth about the importance of this center to the local community, noting the great needs it will meet, especially in the areas of maternal and child care and general family health.

Finally, the Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, who officially inaugurated the facility, urged the local community to maintain the health facility and work with the health workers to ensure its sustainability and effectiveness. He also pledged that the Ministry is ready to meet the health needs of the facility to the best of its ability, so that health services are consistent and of high quality.
