
Ministry of Health Development Launches Consultation Meeting on the Framework for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Comprehensive Immunization Program (EPI M&E)
The Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland today officially launched the Consultation Meeting on the Framework for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Comprehensive Immunization Program (EPI M&E).

The meeting, organized by the Department of Child Health and Immunization, was attended by officials from various departments of the Ministry of Health Development, experts in immunization, and representatives from international organizations that support immunization programs, including UNICEF, WHO, and Save the Children.

The one-day meeting featured keynote speeches by the Deputy Director of the Immunization Department, Dr. Abdishakur Ahmed Mohamed, and members of the technical team that facilitated the meeting, The speeches clearly highlighted the importance of developing and implementing an effective Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for the Expanded Programme on Immunization.

During the meeting, the overall status of the National Immunization Program and the need for a unified, reliable framework to help monitor, measure and evaluate the program’s performance were discussed in depth. Finally, the participants unanimously stressed the importance of preparing and fully implementing the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) M&E Framework.
