The Director General of the Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, held an important meeting with the Ministry’s regional immunization heads.
The meeting, which was attended by the Director General, the Director of the Immunization Department, the Head of Regional Relations, the Heads of Nutrition, and the Ministry’s Coordinator for Awdal Region, was also attended by representatives of international organizations UNICEF and WHO.
During the meeting, there was an in-depth discussion on the achievements of the “Big Catch-Up” vaccination campaign that has been ongoing for the past four days in Awdal region and other regions of the country, the challenges encountered during the implementation of the campaign, and the plans for the remaining three days.
The Director General, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, urged all leaders and health workers in Awdal region to take on a greater responsibility in reaching the maximum number of children to be vaccinated, strengthening community awareness, and providing vaccination services efficiently and effectively.
