The Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, and a large delegation led by him, who has been on a working trip to some of the eastern regions of the country in recent days, have made an important working trip to Burco, the capital of Togdheer region.
The purpose of the trip was to directly assess the state of health services in the region, and to observe the needs of health facilities and personnel in the region. This inspection specifically visited theBurco General Hospital,Burco Central Hospital, Ali Hussein Hospital, and the Medicines Storage Unit in Togdheer Region.
The Director General’s delegation was accompanied by the Inspector, the Director of Departments within the Ministry, the Head of National Nutrition, the Head of Regional Relations, and the Health Coordinator in Togdheer Region.
During the inspection, the Director General met privately with the administration of health facilities, listening to reports related to, the level of health services, the challenges faced by staff, and the needs for materials, equipment, and medicines.
The Director General thanked the staff for their efforts in serving the community, noting that they are the backbone of implementing quality health services. He promised that the Ministry would address the needs identified.
