Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response System Trainings Carried out In Berbera, Borama and Burao Simultaneously

The Ministry of Health Development today officially opened the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response System (IDSRS) Implementation Training in Berbera, Burao and Borame towns, which aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of health workers to respond efficiently, quickly and effectively to emergencies related to infectious diseases.

The training, which will last for four days, is important for the improvement of the country’s health system, especially in increasing the capacity of health workers in health facilities.The opening ceremony of the training was attended by the Health Coordinators of Saaxil, Awdal and Togdheer regions.

The officials who spoke at the event underlined the importance of having health workers with sufficient skills and knowledge to respond quickly to a disease outbreak, also noting that the IDSRS system is a modern approach that is in line with international health policies

.The Ministry of Health Development has always stood for the development of the country’s health system, prioritizing strengthening disease surveillance, raising awareness among workers, and monitoring health emergencies.
