
The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, today officially launched the routine vaccination service to be implemented in private health facilities.

The launch event, which took place at the Ministry’s headquarters, was attended by the Directors of the Departments of Health Services and Hospital Development and Child Health and Vaccinations of the Ministry, officials from international organizations WHO and UNICEF, ALIGHT, PSI, managers of private hospitals where this service was implemented, and other national officials.

This new service was launched in eight private hospitals across the country, with the officials in attendance speaking in depth about the importance of these routine vaccinations being added to private facilities, which will increase access to child and community health services.

The Minister of Health Development, for his part, stressed that these new measures are part of the Ministry’s efforts to expand health services and provide vaccines to every available location in the community.
