The Medicines and Medical Supplies Management Department of the Ministry of Health Development held a national consultation meeting on the Medicines and Medical Supplies Management Policy, how to purchase, store, manage, and deliver to the community.This meeting was important in the development of the department’s new policy, which is the first of its kind, in line with the overall policy of the Ministry of Health Development and the national level.
The meeting was attended by all key stakeholders working on pharmaceutical procedures, including experts and representatives from WHO, UNFPA, Alight and other international organizations. The opening of the meeting was inaugurated by the Director of the Medicines and Medical Supplies Management Department, accompanied by directors and officials from the Ministry.
The purpose of the meeting was to gather the views, recommendations and experiences of the experts who attended the meeting in order to find an adequate policy and system for managing medicines and health supplies.This program is part of the Damal Aafimad project implemented by the Ministry of Health Development of Somaliland and funded by the World Bank.
