The Minister of the Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, today received in his office the Chairman of the Amoud Foundation for East Africa, Mr. Ahmed Abdi Ismail, for a large-scale meeting that is important for the development of health services in the Awdal region.
The Minister was accompanied by the Health Coordinator of the Awdal Region, the Director of the Boorama General Hospital, and the Advisor to the Minister, all of whom participated in the consultation on the development of maternal and child health services.During the meeting, special attention was paid to the new construction of the Maternal and Child Health Unit at the Boorama General Hospital, a project funded and implemented by the Amoud Foundation.
During the meeting, the architectural design and details of the project were presented, with the Minister deeply praising the modern approach taken in preparing the construction plan. The Minister particularly thanked the technical and administrative team who worked together on this important project, underlining that the Ministry fully supports such efforts.
