The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, inspected the areas under Go’da Weyn District, Saaxil Region. The Minister was accompanied on his trip by the Head of Regional Relations of the Ministry, the Head of Nutrition of the Ministry, the Health Coordinator of Saaxil Region, the Director of Berbera Hospital, the Head of Health of Sheikh District, MP Hassan Ogaal, the Deputy Governor of Sheikh District, as well as some local authorities.
The purpose of the inspection was to observe the situation and health services in these areas, and to make a real assessment of the needs of the health facilities in these areas. First, they inspected the Dirimara area, inspecting the health center in the Dirimara area, promising to increase the medicines and health services they receive.
During the inspection, the Minister and his delegation handed over an ambulance, medical equipment, and essential medicines to the Go’da Weyn district, which were much needed and will play a significant role in the health care of the local community.
