The Minister of Health Development of the Somaliland Republic, Hussein Bashir Hirsi, today inspected the Orphanage Center in Hargeisa to observe the health status of children and the care they receive.
The inspection was accompanied by the Director of the Department of Vaccinations and Child Health, and the Coordinator of the Ministry of Health Development in the Maroodi Jeex region. During the inspection, the officials visited the different sections of the center one by one, while also listening to the center’s administration about the health status of children and the needs that still need to be addressed urgently.
This inspection also coincided with the days of the Vaccination Campaign, which caused the Minister to particularly accelerate the vaccination service at the center. The Minister promised that the vaccine refrigerator would be delivered immediately, so that the children in the center could be provided with vaccination services within the center, and that vaccination services would be completed on a regular basis.
In addition, the Minister of Health Development, Hussein Bashir Hirsi, also promised that the Ministry will provide full support to the center in terms of doctors and health workers, and will also provide services to deal with malnutrition, to prevent children from experiencing malnutrition.
