The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, together with the Director of Hargeisa General Hospital, his deputy, members of the Departmental Directors of the Ministry of Health Development, and other officials today received patients brought from Boorama city this afternoon at the Hargeisa General Hospital.
These patients were among those who sustained various injuries during the recent protests in Boorama city, and these patients, whose health conditions were serious, were immediately transferred to Hargeisa General Hospital.
During the reception of these patients, the Minister of Health Development, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, interviewed the patients and the doctors caring for them one by one, to observe the health condition of each patient and the stage of their treatment. The Minister stated that the Ministry of Health Development will guarantee all expenses incurred for their treatment and other services they need.
The Minister also indicated that the Ministry will closely monitor the condition of the patients, and ensure that they receive continuous medical care, to address their health conditions. Finally, the Minister thanked the health workers who are ready to respond to emergencies, encouraging them to continue their efforts and serve their communities.
