
The Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland today officially held a large-scale event to commemorate World Blood Transfusion Day, which is a great honor for the efforts to encourage the public to voluntarily donate blood to save the lives of those in need.

The event, which took place in the city of Hargeysa, was attended by high-level officials including members of the Council of Ministers, deputy ministers, general directors, senior doctors, representatives of health institutions collaborating with the ministry, dignitaries and many other distinguished guests.

During the event, various speeches were delivered by officials praising the importance of blood transfusion in saving the lives of patients. It also highlighted the important role that is needed in society, especially the youth, to be always ready to donate blood.

The Minister of Health Development, Deputy Minister and Director General said that the ministry will continue to raise awareness about blood donation, in order to have an adequate blood supply in the country, and respond to health emergencies.
