The Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama participated in the commemoration of World Malaria Day, which is widely observed worldwide every year in 25 April.
The event was officially held in Hargeisa, attended by senior officials of the Ministry, health workers, and various organizations working with the Ministry of Health Development.During the event, the Director General highlighted the importance of public awareness in reducing and controlling malaria, which still poses a health challenge in many parts of the world.
The Director thanked international and local organizations for their continuous support to the Ministry, noting the need to strengthen cooperation to eliminate malaria.
Finally, the Director General and other officials who spoke at the forum called on the entire Somaliland community to take the necessary measures to prevent and treat this disease, praising the efforts of health workers working to strengthen health services in the fight against malaria.
