Nutrition Project to be Implemented in Salel Region

The Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland has officially launched the Nutrition Management Project in Hargeisa, which will be implemented in some health facilities in Salel Region.

The project aims to improve the quality of nutrition services, reduce malnutrition among mothers and children, and strengthen the capacity of health facilities to provide effective services related to malnutrition management.

The project launch was attended by officials from the Ministry of Health Development and World Vision International, all of whom stressed the importance of multi-agency collaboration to ensure sustainable development in the field of health and nutrition.

The project is being implemented jointly by the Ministry of Health Development and World Vision International, with financial support from the SHF Fund. The focus is on strengthening the nutrition management system, training health workers, and raising public awareness.

This project is expected to significantly improve the nutritional status of the community in Salel Region, and contribute to overall efforts to improve the country’s health.
