Primary Health Project Review Conducted in Borama

The Head of Regional Liaison of the Somaliland Ministry of Health Development, accompanied by the Head of Primary Health of Awdal Region, today officially launched the Integrated Primary Health Project Review Conference in Boorama. The project is being implemented in Awdal, Saaxil and Sanaag regions, and focuses on improving primary health services in these regions.

This conference, which is important for the evaluation and development of health services, was attended by the heads of 20 health facilities from the three regions where the project is being implemented. The first part of the conference took place in Berbera, while today its second phase was held in Boorama.During the conference, participants discussed in depth the achievements made since the project began, the challenges faced by the supported health facilities, and future plans to improve primary health services. Special mention was made of the importance of cooperation between the Ministry and supporting agencies, and how this project has contributed to improving health services in the community.

Finally, the conference leaders thanked all participants for their commitment to improving the country’s health. They also expressed their special gratitude to UNICEF, which played a major role in the implementation of this project, by providing important technical and financial support.
