The governments of the Republic of Somaliland and Taiwan have signed an agreement to build a medical center in Taiwan worth 22 million dollars.
An event that was organized at a high level was attended by the Minister of Health Development, Mr. Hassan Mohamed Ali Gafadhi, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry, Mr. Liban Yusuf Osman, the Director General of the Ministry Dr. Mohamed Abdi Xergeye, the two the ambassador of the two governments to Somaliland and Taiwan, the director of the General Hospital and other guests of honor.The Ambassador of Somaliland to Taiwan, Mr. Mohamed Haji and the Ambassador of Taiwan to the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Allen Luu, who spoke together about the importance of this agreement signed today, underlined that this medical center will make a big difference in the service of the general hospital of Hargaysa.
The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Hassan Mohamed Ali Ga’afadhi, who signed the agreement, explained the importance of this agreement .This center will be implemented in the general hospital of Hargeisa City, with a cost of 22 Million US Dollars which will be paid by the Government of Taiwan.
Taiwan Medical Center will consist of:
1. 97 beds
2. 7 Intensive Care Unit
3. 10 Emergencies 4. Pharmacy Taiwan Medical Center will enhance the services provided by Hargeisa Group Hospital to the patients of our country
