The Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland in collaboration with UNICEF has organized a Training of Trainers (TOT) for Regional and District Community Mediation Coordinators (RSMCs and DSMCs).
The three-day training will focus on strengthening the capacity of community mediating on health issues.The training aims to build the skills and knowledge of the mediating coordinators to plan and implement effective programs that promote social behavioral change (SBC) and enhance their understanding and application of modern health mediating methods, and acquire skills in community mobilization, communication and advocacy at the regional and district levels.
Through this training, the mediating coordinators will benefit from the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to deliver health messages to the community, especially on vaccination, nutrition, breastfeeding, and prevention of various diseases.
