The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, today received a high-level delegation from Israel in his office.
The Minister was accompanied in this meeting by the Directors of the Planning and Policy Development Department, Public Health and the Head of Regional Relations of the Ministry.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed in depth the strengthening of cooperation in the field of health, the development of health services in the country and ways to expand cooperation between the two sides. The Minister warmly welcomed the delegation to Somaliland and the Ministry of Health Development, stating that the Ministry is ready to strengthen cooperation and implement effective programs that enhance health services.
For their part, the members of the delegation expressed their joy at visiting Somaliland, stating that they are ready for fruitful cooperation in improving health services and their quality.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited Hargeisa General Hospital, Mohamed Adan Sheikh Children’s Hospital (MAS) and Gargaar Hospital. They observed the health services provided there, the various departments that comprise these facilities, and the existing needs that require cooperation and support to further strengthen the country’s health services.
