The Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, held an important meeting with the Regional Coordinators of the Ministry of Health Development in his office.
The overall objective of the meeting was to strengthen the leadership, management and coordination of the Ministry’s activities at the regional level. As the regions are the backbone of the implementation of the Ministry’s plans and services, and most health services are directly provided at the regional and district levels, the Director General stressed the importance of continuously strengthening communication, coordination and accountability between the central Ministry and the Regional Coordinators.
During the meeting, the functioning of health services in the regions was jointly analyzed, while assessing the existing challenges and finding effective solutions. Also, measures were taken to strengthen the quality, efficiency and sustainability of health services provided to the community.
The Director General thanked the Regional Coordinators for their continuous efforts in fulfilling their responsibilities, urging them to redouble their efforts and work to implement the Ministry’s plans and policies to improve health services.
At the end of the meeting, action points were adopted to strengthen leadership and management at the regional level, enhance accountability and efficiency of work, and improve the quality of health services provided to the community.
