The Minister of Health Development @HassanGafadhi along with a delegation from the Ministry of Health including the Director General Dr. Mohamed Hergeye attended the African Minister’s Health Meeting in Dhakar, Senegal on May 6th.
At the end of the meeting, a communique has been produced that summarized the outcome of the periodic meeting. Some of the meeting action-points included:
- The Minister of Health of Senegal declared that the symposium will open a new era for surgery, announced the impending arrival of Mercy ships new ship.
- The participants gathered in two breakout sessions, one on the draft of the Dhaka Declaration and the other on the draft of the roadmap
- During the plenary sessionthat followed, each group reported on its decisions
