The Director General of the Ministry of Health Development of Somaliland, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, together with the Director of the Department of Public Health and the Head of National Tuberculosis, today paid a working and evaluation visit to the TB Hospital.The Director General and his accompanying officials first inspected the various sections of the Hospital, assessing the smooth running of health services and the activities taking place in the various sections.
During the visit, they specifically visited the National TB Laboratory, where important activities are underway to improve the quality and capacity of laboratory services.The National TB Laboratory is set to soon become one of the most modern laboratories, with the latest international ISO Accreditation processes underway, which are being conducted by the organization responsible for the evaluation of laboratories.
The Director General and officials also visited other parts of the Hospital, including the Treatment Department, where they assessed the services provided to patients.The Director General also met with the Director of the TB Hospital, various staff members of the Hospital, and listened to reports and views on the work, health services and challenges.This visit and assessment are part of the efforts of the Somaliland Ministry of Health Development to strengthen the quality of health services, increase the capacity of health facilities, and ensure that quality health services are provided to the community.
