The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, together with the Minister of Livestock and Fishery and other officials, visited Jaleelo district for an fact-finding.
During the fact-finding mission, the officials jointly inaugurated a new Health Center designed to provide quality health services to the Jaleelo community.The Minister also promised that the Ministry of Health Development will provide the center with an ambulance to enhance life-saving services for the local community
After that, the Minister and the accompanying officials visited Xunboweyne village, where they inspected the village Health Center.
The Minister met with the health workers at the center, stressing that the Ministry of Health Development will focus on developing health services in Xunboweyne and the regions of the country as a whole.
On the other hand, the Minister promised that the MCH Xunboweyne health center will be renovated and modernized, and that the health workers currently working there, but not on the government payroll, will be officially included in the list of government employees. The Minister of Animal Husbandry, Mr. Omar Shuaib, and officials from the Jaleelo area promised that they will also help with medical supplies intended to participate in efforts to improve health services.
