Somaliland Ministry of Health Development Launches Meeting to Prepare Cost Sharing and Self-Sufficiency Policy for Health ServicesThe Somaliland Ministry of Health Development, specifically the Planning Department, in collaboration with the Damal Caafimaad Project, today launched a two-day meeting to analyze the preparation of the Cost Sharing and Self-Sufficiency Policy for Health Services.
The meeting was opened by the Director of the Planning Department, Ms. Idil Ismail Muse, who said that this policy is important for strengthening the health system, improving services, and ensuring sustainable financial resources.
The meeting was attended by directors of the Ministry’s departments, regional coordinators, heads of government hospitals, technical experts and other stakeholders.
During the meeting, the policy framework and the most appropriate methods for implementation will be discussed, in order to achieve an efficient, equitable system that supports the sustainability of health services in Somaliland.
