
The Deputy Minister of Health Development, Dr. Mohamed Dahir, accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Ahmed Mohamud Jama, officially opened a five-day training course for health workers from 40 facilities providing basic health services in the country.

The training, organized by the Malaria and Mosquito-Borne Diseases Control Office, focused on enhancing the knowledge and skills of health workers on the correct procedures for providing malaria treatment and managing health conditions related to patients infected with this disease.

The training is part of efforts to strengthen the quality of health services at grassroots levels, to deliver efficient and quality services to the community from the district level to the community level. Its implementation is in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Development, UNICEF and the Global Fund.
