
The Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland today officially held a grand event to commemorate World Immunization Week, and launched new vaccines to combat pneumonia and diarrheal diseases in children.T

he well-organized event was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, some directors of the Ministry’s departments, senior officials from international organizations working with the ministry, doctors, health workers and many other distinguished guests.Various officials from organizations working with the Ministry of Health Development delivered inspiring speeches.

The Director General of the Ministry, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, who delivered various speeches at the venue, especially thanked all health workers working in vaccination and supporting organizations, noting that vaccinations are an important pillar for the country’s health development. He said the launch of the new vaccines for pneumonia and diarrhoea is a significant achievement that will lead to the reduction of deadly childhood diseases.“Today we celebrate World Immunization Week.
