The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussain Bashir Hirsi, together with the director of the department of health and hospital services of the Ministry, the health coordinator of the Marodijeh region and the advisor of the minister, today inspected some of the facilities managed by the Ministry in the city of Hargeisa.
The minister’s purpose was to observe the functioning of the health centers managed by the ministry and the services they provide. He first started his inspection at the Tuberculosis Hospital in the city of Hargeisa. tuberculosis, to see with their own eyes, the work that goes on and the services provided by the hospital.
After that, the minister and the officials accompanying the inspection went to the Institute of Health Sciences in Hargeysa, where they held a large meeting with the director of the Institute and listened to a general report about the process of the Institute, the disciplines it offers, the achievements it has achieved during its tenure and the challenges that need to be dealt with urgently.
He urged the students of the Institute to redouble their efforts and prepare themselves to become medical professionals who will serve the country tomorrow.The minister, who continues his inspection, reached the general center for the fight and control of Malaria, while listening to different news from the management and the staff of the center, after that he inspected the parts of the center and the extensive work that is going on.
