
Nairobi, Kenya – Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, alongside Idil Ismail Muse, Director of the Planning Department, participated in a high-level policy dialogue in Nairobi.

The engagement took place during their working visit to the Kenyan capital.The discussions centered on developing robust policies to strengthen emergency preparedness within health institutions. A key focus was enabling rapid and effective responses to infectious disease outbreaks, natural disasters, and other public health threats.

The dialogue included an in-depth analysis of strategies for formulating actionable policies, enhancing inter-institutional cooperation, and building personnel capacity. Emphasis was placed on the importance of pre-established preparedness plans to ensure systematic and efficient emergency management.

The meeting, attended by representatives from multiple international organizations and academic experts, concluded successfully with a broad and productive consensus on the way forward.
