
The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, has officially inaugurated a new multi-functional health center (MCH) in Arabsiyo town, Gabiley region. The new facility is designed to significantly address the health needs of mothers and children.The new MCH was jointly implemented by the Ministry of Health Development, Save the Children, and the local community, who played a significant role in its implementation.

The aim of the facility is to strengthen maternal and child health services, while providing a quality health facility close to the people of Arabsiyo.The groundbreaking ceremony for the facility was well-organized and was attended by the Governor of Gabiley Region, senior officials from the Ministry of Health Development, senior officials from Save the Children, and various segments of the local community.

Speaking at the event, Minister Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi said that this facility is important for the Arabsiyo community, and is part of the ministry’s broader plan to extend health services to all regions and districts of Somaliland. He thanked Save the Children and the local community for their significant role in implementing this project.
