The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), today inaugurated a new modern Oxygen Plant at the General Hospital in Boorama, which the new government has added to the health services in Boorama.
On the other hand, the President laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Mental Hospital that will treat mental illnesses. The President was accompanied on this occasion by senior government officials, including the Minister and Director General of the Ministry of Health Development, the Awdal Regional Administration, the Boorama District Administration and staff working at the General Hospital in Boorama.
The President said that this new Oxygen Plant will greatly contribute to the needs of the health service in the Awdal Region, especially saving the lives of patients in need of urgent Oxygen and reducing the cost of delivering Oxygen.
The President also indicated that the construction of the Psychiatrist (Psychiatrist) will be an important center for serving the Awdal community and Somaliland as a whole, as part of the improvement of public health services that the Government is giving special priority to.
