
The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, today transferred important medical equipment to Wajaale District General Hospital. The Minister, who inspected all the different departments of the hospital, said that this modern equipment will greatly contribute to the improvement and expansion of the health services provided by the hospital, especially maternal and newborn services, which are the most needed services available at the hospital.

The equipment transferred to Wajaale General Hospital today included a modern Ultrasound machine (Digital Ultrasound), CTG equipment to monitor the condition of the fetus in the womb, various medicines, and other medical equipment that is important for the daily operations of the hospital.

Also, the Director of the Equipment and Medicines Department, Dr. Xamse, the Director of the Services and Hospitals Department, Juweriya Abdirashid, and the Director of Wajaale General Hospital, Dr. Guuleed, spoke at the event, detailing the great need for this equipment and how it will play a key role in accelerating and improving the hospital’s health services.
