
The Deputy Minister of Health Development, Dr. Mohamed Aw-Daahir, accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, conducted an inspection and assessment at Burco General Hospital and Al-Khalifa Hospital in Burco city.

The inspection, which was attended by the Ministry’s Coordinator for Togdheer region, the Director of Burco Hospital, the Director of the Vaccination Department, the Head of Regional Relations, and the Head of Health Information, aimed to closely monitor the general condition of patients hospitalized in hospitals, especially those suffering from infectious diseases such as measles.

The officials toured the various departments of the hospitals one by one, listening to direct reports from doctors, nurses, and health facility administrators. They focused in particular on the condition of children infected with measles, the stage of the disease, and the care services provided to patients.During the inspection, the Deputy Minister and the Director General assessed the quality of health services provided, the preparedness of the facilities, and the availability of necessary resources to deal with infectious diseases.

They also commended the efforts of the health workers, encouraging them to redouble their efforts to control the spread of measles.Finally, the authorities called on the community to get vaccinated against measles, as it is the best way to prevent this infectious disease, and stressed to parents the importance of taking children to vaccination centers to protect their health
