
The Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland organized a quadrilateral meeting to sign the One Health Partnership Agreement, which was signed by the Ministry of Health Development, the Ministry of Livestock and Rural Development, the Ministry of Agricultural Development, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

The meeting was opened by a detailed report by the Head of the One Health Program of the Ministry of Health Development, explaining the importance of the program, its goals, and its role in strengthening cooperation between various institutions related to human, animal and environmental health.During the meeting, ministers from the four ministries delivered speeches at the forum, discussing in depth the importance of the country in implementing the One Health Program. The officials noted that this program will play a major role in preventing and combating communicable diseases between people, animals and the environment, and will strengthen cooperation between government agencies.

The ministries also expressed their commitment to work together in implementing and developing this program, stressing the importance of coordinating efforts to protect public and environmental health.Finally, the Minister of Health Development, Mr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, officially closed the meeting, indicating the importance that the Ministry sees in the establishment and implementation of the Unified Health Program, as it is an important mechanism for improving public health, protecting the environment, and strengthening cooperation between government agencies in health matters.
